***LATERAL OFFICERS***

Lateral officers starting pay will be based on the steps below according to the years served in the above calculator. If you have less than 2 years of experience, you will begin at base pay. Out of state lateral officers will begin at base pay until successful completion of their TCOLE courses and state exam. Upon successful completion of the state exam, pay for lateral officers will reflect the steps below:

• 2-3 years experience: Step 1
• 4-5 years experience: Step 2
• 6-7 years experience: Step 4
• 8+ years experience: Step 6
